iSolved invites families to participate in the SpeakUp 5k on September 9 in Richmond, VA

Charlotte, NC — August 24, 2017
The iSolved Network proudly supports the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation and the Dominion Payroll SpeakUp 5K, presented by Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, at Byrd Park in Richmond, Virginia on September 9, 2017. The run begins at 9 a.m. and travels through the Vita Trail in Byrd Park just across from the Carillon.

“We are proud to support the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation and the Dominion Payroll SpeakUp 5K,” said Dave Dawson, CEO of iSolved HCM. “Giving back to our communities is at the core of the iSolved Network and what we believe in. Our iSolved community is about elite partnerships and serving others with distinction. Our support of The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation is based on their good works and inspiring messages. This organization is a beacon in the Richmond community and we invite everyone to join in on the fun and support this wonderful organization at the Dominion Payroll SpeakUp 5K.”

The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation is dedicated to promoting “SpeakUp,” which raises awareness about teenage depression and anxiety while reducing the negative stigma around mental illness, and raising funds to improve the lives of teens struggling with these problems. The foundation was started by David and Grace Gallagher in honor of their daughter’s memory.

“Our mission is to fulfill Cameron’s dream and legacy by being a positive force that works to cultivate awareness and understanding of teenage depression and anxiety,” said David Gallagher, co-founder of the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation. “So many of our teenagers face these trying illnesses and they need to know that we support them, love them and stand by them. We are very grateful for our partnerships with organizations like iSolved and for their remarkable support. We invite everyone to join the Dominion Payroll SpeakUp 5K and help us make a difference.”

The 5K, which was designed by Cameron K Gallagher at age 16, is almost entirely flat but filled with fun surprises for the whole family. Following the race is a post-race party, which is open to all participants. Individual tickets for the race are between $20 and $35 and are free for children ages four years and younger.

Additional SpeakUp 5Ks will be held in San Diego, California and Tampa, Florida.

About Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation

The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation is a beacon of hope for those who are affected by teenage mental illness. From free mental health programs for teens, to peer support curriculum in local schools, to nationwide 5k races that raise awareness for teenage depression and anxiety, CKG Foundation helps those who are fighting the good fight to SpeakUp and get help.

Cameron taught us the power of community when she designed the SpeakUp5k. She taught us that depression and anxiety are nothing to be ashamed of and that we need to help each other because we are all fighting our own battles and we all have something to give back.
